I'm an ND mom in Havre, Montana โ the Hi-Line โ raising a foster, adoptive, and biological mix of kids. "Just the right amount of chaos and love." Over the years I've had eleven-plus kids move in and out of my life. I didn't get the luxury of "winging it." I had to build structure โ visual, flexible, color-coded โ around the actual brains in my house.
I've cried in my car in a parking lot, engine off, because there was nowhere else for it to go. I've hidden in the bathroom with a chocolate bar while a tiny human knocked. I've watched my village get smaller and felt guilty for even noticing. If that's your house too โ you're exactly who I built this for.
I'm not new to hard. Before Chaos to Control, I was a youth program developer, an at-risk youth mentor and advocate, and a resource specialist โ guiding families through schools, services, IEPs & 504s, sensory needs, early-development assessments, and grant-funded sensory builds. I've worked and lived with every age and just about every diagnosis โ at-risk, ND, DD, behavioral, trauma. So I'm two things at once: the mom who lived it, and the professional who knows how to work the system.
Some of the youth programs I built are still running strong 15+ years later โ still reaching kids I'll never meet. That was my beginning. That was the start of my whole why.
Some nights were so scary I wasn't sure we'd make it to morning. Sometimes I had to make the call. I've sat in the hardest moments a family can have โ and kept showing up. That's why nothing about your house scares me, and I will never judge you. I've been in the deep end. I know the way back to the side.
Here's my honest lane, and it matters: I'm not a therapist, counselor, or doctor. I don't diagnose and I don't fix. I walk alongside you, I hand you the systems and the real talk โ and when something needs a licensed pro, I'll say so and help you find the door.
When you're a drowning mom, your options are: a therapist (clinical, pricey, months-long waitlists) or a momfluencer (filtered, perfect, secretly judging you). Neither one is a real person who's been on your bathroom floor.
What was missing was someone in the middle: a peer who actually lived it AND knows how to work the systems โ ND-by-default, foster/adoptive-aware, no judgment, budget-friendly, rural-real. Someone who hands you the tools and then steps back instead of keeping you dependent.
That person didn't exist when I needed her. So I became her. My goal is simple: be what I needed back then โ and be who you need now. That's Chaos to Control โ helping people build lives that actually work, moving from overwhelm to clarity through systems, support, and connection. The systems matter. The connection matters more. It shows up three ways: ๐ก Family and ๐ค Connection right now, with ๐ผ Business coming later. I'm a practical problem-solver who teaches from lived experience โ not a life coach, a guru, or a perfection expert.
After a storm, thousands of starfish wash up on the beach. A boy throws them back, one at a time. "There are thousands," a man says, "you can't possibly make a difference." The boy throws another into the sea: "I made a difference to that one."
That's the whole job some days. I won't fix everything. But I will make a difference to that one โ the one kid, the one mom, the one family that got steadier because the system held. That is enough. That is everything.
